Disassembly of the COG on a Springfield Echelon with a manual safety.

I just purchased the Echelon with the manual safety (apparently very rare). There are no videos that I can locate that show the disassembly of the COG that is designed to accommodates the manual safety from the frame. Can anyone advise me how to properly take it off of the frame and replace it. I tried on my own, but once reassembled, the trigger will not operate.

Thanks,

Key Difference/Tip for Manual Safety Models
User reports (from owners who have swapped or modified manual safety Echelons) indicate that COG removal and reinstallation is easiest when the manual safety levers are rotated slightly upward past the "safe" detent position.
This aligns the internal safety bar properly with the COG's channel/cutout, preventing binding.
The safety bar is captured in the COG housing and interacts via slots.
Standard position might cause slight interference, but the "past detent" rotation frees it up.
Once positioned, the COG lifts out normally.
