Joined the Gyrojet, and others, as the next great innovation that's going to revolutionize the firearm industry, and didnt.
Isn't there a new handgun I read about somewhere that's going to do the same and make the 1911 and all others obsolete?
Likely like the Gyrojet? If and when there is, firearms, weapons or whatever, the general public won't likely hear about it until after it's also tested and discarded for one reason or another by government / military. Not saying whether the innovation is good or bad, just that government and or military has no use for it at times.
In some other cases, innovation is likely deemed to be unsafe for general public and practical purposes. For example, small or midget personal planes, helicopters and others that are combo vehicles that turn from an automobile into boats or aircraft. A malfunction on land is one thing, in the air, lake or ocean is another? People may hear about them from time to time, and then suddenly the info on them disappear?
Some of those ideas or innovations were invented prior to WWII and some likely snubbed out by it too. On the bright side, most people usually don't usually have too much concern of other people personally peeking into or crashing into their upper floors of 2, 3 story bedrooms and buildings while other people are busy doing whatever? ....uh, oh, now there's drones?
Love innovation and invention, but it has it's safety concerns and practical limitations too. Those issues usually create new problems and more laws. Sometimes, too many people are too blind of those issues while inventing or using them?
