I have a feeling that suppressor manufacturers will suddenly raise their prices if the stamp fee gets taken away. They will realize that people are already willing to pay the extra $200 for the suppressor so why not them make the extra money.

Either way screw tax stamps!

I don't think so. I think prices will come down. They already are just since the deregulation talk started. I have never seen $350-$500 suppressors before until the last month or so. Plus when people are free to build their own the suppressor industry is going to take a huge hit. Because they aren't hard to make. At all.

There's no reason for that since they'll sell more suppressors than they do now, without hiking prices.

They maybe not hard to make but the materials aren't all created equal. There can be a noticeable difference in a form 1 suppressor vs a manufacturers suppressor in terms of build quality and sound control.

I made several suppressors via the NFA regulations and tax stamps on form 1.
There is a massive difference in material and sound suppression.
So much so it was worth the sale prices and $200 for a form 4 suppressor
