How many of you have guns tied to famous people, events or places?

I'll start.

I didn't just get a Briley-made 1911 Fantom F10, I got Wiley Clapp's Fantom F10, in the box Briley sent it to him in. Incredible auction find. And relax - the label address is/was his public business address.

Who else?

Nice lookin pistol but who is Wiley Clapp?

Some old dude who liked guns, or so I'm told. Apparently he wasn't good enough to shoot with a red dot and didn't have any lasers on his guns, either. Probably never cerakoted them and didn't immediately re-blue it after each use to keep it safe-queen pristine. No clue why not...

Apparently hung out with Elmer Fudd and his brother, Keith Fudd.

He wasn’t just an old dude, definitely not a Fudd, one of the best gun writers, if you look there are many Wiley Clapp gun additions out there

Think i got a gun that was owned by Ole Slim Simpkins, now Slim was famous around these parts. he could nasal humm any song you named. but he was really famous for armpit music. now he was so talented he could make melodies outta both pits at the same time. ole slim had some long arms to reach all the way to cup that hand under both pits. a legend i tell ya.

I don't know if you'd call it famous, but I have a S&W 2nd Model 44 HE that lettered as going to the Police Dept of Joplin, MO in January of 1924. I'll bet its had an interesting life.

I don't know about Famous to other people , but plenty that were formerly owned by people meaningful To Me .

Father , Grandfather , FIL . Friends and colleagues. Multiple from two of my now deceased best friends , some during their lifetime , some after their passing.
