fighting Tomahawk

Bought this cold steel the other day, but not for no fighting purposes.

It might have a place in home defense in one of them states where you can't have a gun or shoot someone in your home, but in the free states it has no place. you come at a home intruder with a gun and you are going to die.

Not a big fan of hawks. Most have too rounded a handle for hard use as a tool, they can twist in the hand, this is part of the reason hawks are good for throwing they just slide from the hand. The rear spike is great for fighting but it limits its use as a tool. I prefer something with more use to take up those ounces/pounds in my kit.

Give me a good belt ax with a decent poll for pounding. Makes just about as good a weapon and has a ton of utility to include it in your belt kit.

I had one from the Vietnam era that was given to me, he was a tunnel rat. I have a Tops Micro Hawk which is handy when in my car and it can be carried on the belt.
