The 1st generation RS chassis was incredibly light, and the 2nd generation RS will be noticeably lighter. This weight reduction requires precise intricate machining to trim the fat without reducing strength and performance.

M14EBR Team Precision is currently accepting orders for the new and improved Gen II Blackfeather RS chassis stock system for the M14/M1A, shipping is expected to commence by the end of January or the first part of February. The Gen II RS uses the M-LOK system... the Gen II is 30% lighter than the Gen 1, and modularity has been improved.

As it stands right now the basic package includes the chassis, the proprietary op rod guide with wear plate, the Mossberg butt stock adapter, the standard AR pistol grip butt stock adapter that accepts a buffer tube and the vertical picatinny rail butt stock adapter that will accept your choice of fixed or folding skeletonized butt stocks. I will be using the B.R.E. | Bufferless Receiver Extension on one of my personal rifles, and I will install a Magpul CRT first to see how I like it.

All parts are currently in bead blasting... after that all parts will go to anodizing. You can order any color you like as long as it is BLACK. The balance, weight, strength and accuracy of the Blackfeather RS has never been better. Installation aids and instructions are included. All M1A models with standard & medium weight barrels will fit the chassis stock. You supply the rifle, the butt stock, the pistol grip if required, and trigger shoe. You can use a standard GI style hand guard, or you can order a scout hand guard or one of the CASM optic mounts from M14.ca. You can also choose from an assortment of M14 scope mounts from SEI, Sadlak and so on.
