He picked on my 264wm, but that's ok! Before I read this I did test using quickload. Changing barrel lengths and finding velocity falloff based on powder volume and bullet weight. The author's claim that magnums need more barrel length is spot on! I went out to a 45" barrel on the 264wm and around the 40" mark velocity increase was starting to taper down(increasing about 120fps/1").
