Good case for 1911 Ro.

Just bought a 1911 Ro and it only came with a little soft bag / zipper case in a box. Bought from a reputable place. How do i go about getting a good hard case? I thought it should of come with a foam lined case like my Xd's. Ty for any information.

Honestly? Those soft cases work a lot better...they fit in a range bag easier, don’t take up as much room in the closet when the pistol isn’t in it...I prefer them by far and away.

But, if you must have a hard shelled case...it just depends on how much you want to spend. You can pick up a Plano or similar-style case for about $10 nearly anywhere...or you can get all operator-cool and shell out about $100 for a Pelican.

I have a GPS Gunner’s bag and I can fit both my SA 1911s in the bottom of the bag in their respective soft cases. I really like them - much more so than a hard case. AND, I think they’re nicer than the soft 5.11 Range Bag that came with both my Sig Legions. Now if only the 1911s came with a sweet, sweet coin like the Legions (gotta placate the Legion boys, while the rest of the Sig boys roll their eyes).

Never had a soft case im just use to getting hard cases and in the videos / reviews i seen before i bought it they all seem to have hard cases so i assumed this one would as well. Mistake on my part apparently. Ill see how i like the soft case and if all else fails i will try and find a used springfield 1911 case for sale.
