Holster question

I been looking for a G23 Gen 5 holster lately and have been coming up a little empty. I know the TRL-1 light adds to the “harder to find” but who I normally go to (C&G) says “exclude GEN 5”. Yes I went looking at dimensions from previous generations and the Gen 5 G23 is slightly bigger than before (even including the G17 I think or G19).

Basically what I’m asking is where can I get an IWB for the G23 gen 5 w/TLR-1HL?
 
Look for Glock 38 holsters. That’s their 45 GAP and it has the same slide width as the Gen 5 40 call which is 1.08” vs 1.0 of Gen 2-4 40 cal (30 years of perfection and they needed a change!

You might have your work cut out and not find a ready made one but that is another option.

It’s a chore. They changed the design for 1 generation then they get rid of it. Makes no sense but that’s me. I still think .40 ain’t dead enough (like .357 SIG or .45 GAP) to let it go. Sorry for the rant. Thank you for the help.

I am with you. I don’t get all the 40 hate. You’d think it got caught at the Coldplay concert with the HR lady!

I ran a 40 cal Hkock for several years. One thing that I did was change recoil springs at the 2,000 round mark that fram takes a beating. This was a Gen 3 35 though with the added slide weight it might help. But that’s what caused most folks problems with Glock and 40 cal
 
Any holster makers by where you live? I learned about a "local" kydex holster maker at a gun-show and they will make a holster with your gun if they don't already have the the right "model"/fit for your gun...

I’ll definitely have to check. I’m kinda in a screwed up part of Illinois. I’m 100 miles from Chicago and about 80 miles from the Quad Cities.

I honestly like.40. I’m used to the M&P M2.0 in 10MM. I have a feeling .40 will have a comeback. Thank you.
