Holster that actually fits

Fairly new design, came out the end of 2024, early 2025 so you might have some issues finding all holster/light combos with it as Hans mentioned. These are the little bugs that slowly tend to work out. One of the little issues with buying a new model in the first year or so.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

Hi,

Welcome to the forum! Holsters can be finicky. I tried several until I found a maker that worked with most of my pistols.

I have a canik mc9ls with a light attached. For some reason I cannot find that fits it properly. Anyone have suggestions?

Sorry, I don't own a Canik but maybe this might help your search. Here's a list of American made holsters. My favorite, Rounded Gear, is not on this list.

This is a list of only 30 but there are hundreds of makers. Most companies will let you choose customizations for lights and optics. Some specialize in individual custom pieces. Thanks for joining and good luck.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

This, 100%. I tended to want to buy recently released guns with current technology, or the offbeat things. I remember when I first bought recently released Glock Gen 5 G23 and G27…it took FOREVER for makers to make holsters for them (the slides were just wider enough from the Gen 4, the Gen 4 holsters wouldn’t work. Heck, I recently bought a recently released CZ “Carry” and had a heck of a time finding a holster. I’m even still fascinated I can’t find Wilson EDCX9 holster at ALL holster makers…been out forever and a mold is $60 or so.

I have found the most success at MTRCustomleather. When I emailed him about the CZ Carry, got an email back 2-3 days later saying it had been added to all modes. When I bought a Springfield Emissary, he was the ONLY place I could find a holster for the square trigger guard, full rail, 4.25 AOS model. I’d say try emailing him with your gun and light Combo and see what he can do. I am one very satisfied customer of his.

TTgunleather is another place I’ve been real happy with their response to questions/requests.

I’ve just used 1911 holsters for my X9…

When I first got mine, back in 2019, I ordered a 1911 kydex holster from somewhere thinking the same thing. My EDCX9 would not fit that holster in no way, shape, or form…too wide. The length looked right, but I wasn’t about to repeatedly cram it in and out, the kydex rubbing the finish the entire time. Eventually I got leather from Wright leatherworks or TTGunleather, forget which, but it fit perfectly.

My Milt Sparks Executive fit mine fine (but was a little long)…but that was leather, not kydex.

My leather holsters work much better as well, when the holster is not made for specific gun (like the 1911 “type” guns). I still think all of them should be able to afford $60 molds for anything that comes out (if they’re available). Not like they’re not making big bank on holster builds. And usually if one place makes a form fitting holster for a specific gun, a mold is available somewhere.
