I saw this when you posted it... true and funny. The day you posted it we had an elderly man and his dog killed by a bear. They were at a nearby camping spot next to our range out in the middle of nowhere. We see bears, panthers and other wildlife out there all the time.
This was a group e-mail sent out by the range owner to all members... long but you get my point.

I am sure all of you had heard about the deadly bear attack. Well, that was right by our range. We have no idea if it was our 3 bears or not.. I certainly hope not.
In the early morning, you can sometimes see our bears walk the fence line south . During Mango Season, you will see them eating the Mango's. . We never bother them and they never bother us.
I do have to say, when you are out there, please be careful of your surroundings. We have noticed a change in animal behavior with the lack of water. "Jimmy" ( Our Hawk) and his family have even been drinking by the puddle we make with the hydro seeder. Water has been hard to come by and we have seen a shift in behavior. So since we are in the area, just be on alert.
DO NOT shoot the bears if you see them ( unless they charge you and you need to defend yourself for the safety of your life. However, if you do see them, please email us right away with where they are.
In this interview from Naples News, you can hear the gun shots from our range at about 1 minute into the interview and at about 3+ minutes into the interview, you can hear the reporter ask about the active gun shots as FWC mentions the range.
Just be aware that the bear attack was right by our range. !"
