As much as I like 1911’s, hard pass
 
Actually, for a genuine G.I. 1911 that's a good price. I have two of 'em. ;)

But I believe the OP was referring to the de-milled drill rifles. You could probably strip it for the good parts and sell the pieces at a profit. But there are some people who want them for drill and show. Various veteran's organizations for one.
