So, I traded a parts caster for a Martin Road series acoustic.
When I picked it up in the store I saw this strange little thing peeping back at me , just on the inside. My first thought was , “ dang shoplifting has gotten bad. they’re installing cameras on the inside of the displays now.
Turns out it’s a built in tuner.
I’ll never admit in person but it’s the internet so.

Even my $250 Chinese AE10 has a built in preamp and tuner on it.

Gotta love a nice Martin, but after playing about 14 of them, along with Songbirds, Taylors J-160s and other high end acoustics, I can tell you my Chinese beater plays better than any of them. It sounds like hell, but it plays very nice. Of course I did a fret job and a set up on it. And I also put Slinkys on it FTW.

When I record I use either a D-28 or an Ovation 1585. Strung with Martin Bronze strings. No less than 13 on the high E.
