Looks like Illinois will eventually pass there bill, it does state that no assault rifle will be confiscated if this becomes a law, but, can you believe any politician, I don’t anymore sorry to say

Unfortunately, the way it currently reads they are not going to have a choice other than to sell off much of their operation to out of state firms. There are three other companies in the same boat.

It's only ~25 miles to Iowa for SA to move their operation across the river. Folks could easily commute to work.

Honestly why any of the manufacturers are still here is a mystery.

The Ban amendment allows IL manufacturing if they sell their products to Non-Ban States. This loophole sort of makes good argument. The pols are yelling “weapons of war” need to be taken off the streets - but we’re ok with you making them here (IL) for others.
There must be a good amount of revenue generated that allows IL turns a blind eye to…rather hypocritical...hmmm?
But I don’t see how S/A can really expect any favors or benefits from IL…other than being taxed out. Maybe even forced out by litigation and leftist courts allowing lawsuits, this is not only on a local level but a national trend, particularly CA to blame the tool and not the perpetrator (unless it’s a hammer).
The IL House will review the Senate amended version today and expected to vote on it thereafter.
