So back on August 28th I posted the below thread requesting folks talk me out of spending $$$ on a Staccato.
Everyone did a great job and I really haven’t thought about a Staccato since AND I finally sent in my old Wilson EDCX9 to Wilson for a needed tune-up, optics cut, and fresh paint - which I won’t see for 4-6 months.
Unfortunately, while perusing the internet over last weekend, I came across Modern Warriors Labor Day sale which included 18% off Wilson Combat in stock firearms. Uh oh! Didn’t help they had a LOT of in stock Wilson Combat firearms.
Long story short, one of those in stock firearms called my name for a couple of days and I ended up ordering a brand spanking new Wilson Combat SFX9 3.25 with a Trijicon RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED 6.5 MOA optic (also 18% off), which arrived at my LGS this past Thursday afternoon, optic installed.
Will I’ll have to wait until Tuesday for a range report as we have company this weekend and I have a routine physical Monday. I will already say it feels great in the hand and the optic has the best dot I’ve ever looked at (a true circle with my astigmatism, unlike the Holosuns that star and splinter for me). Not sure if that’s because the dot is red (all my others are green) or if it’s the quality of the Trijicon over the Holosuns. Doesn’t really matter to me either way, I just know it’s GREAT to have a distinct circular dot for once!
Anyway, watch for Tuesday’s range report.
So I’ve spent the last two weeks visiting https://staccato2011.com/ daily - usually multiple times. The only thing that has prevented me from making another significant donation to the gun industry is that I can’t decide between the CS and the C2. Well, and do I really think a gun, put together much like many others, is worth this amount of cabbage?
I mean, my CZ Shadow 2 Carry was less than 1/2 the price, is deadly accurate, and is only 5 oz heavier than the C2. The CZ S2 Carry build advantages are also clear - deeper mounted slide that clearly affects recoil and rapid follow...
