Well I finally broke down and ordered some iron sights for the XDm-9 this afternoon.

My project is to watch it get done so I can do it to the XDm elite after I get the optic. Yes I’m doing 2 builds and planning to use the elite in competition this summer.

Sounds like a good plan. Do you by any chance know if those sights will fit their Garrison 1911s.

I’m not sure. You could always contact Springfield and ask.

Most of the SA 1911's use the Novak cut for irons, including the Garrison.
