Is the 1911 the "Stick Shift" of EDC?

This will date me , but once upon l time , l made analogy like this :

DA Revolver: Like driving an automatic transmission. Either loaded or not loaded , all at once . Point . Shoot .

Semiauto Generally: Live driving a stick shift car . Loading & Unloading multi step process , and had to be done in a proper sequence . There are multiple ways to go wrong with either Click or Bang at the wrong time .

1911 : Driving a 13 speed big truck . The above , plus controls requiring subtle feel , and precise timing . But when done right , lots of power and precision.

All valid points made regarding the differences between the 1911 and striker fired pistols, but the author hasn’t actually made a case for why the 1911 is a comparable or superior EDC, like a firearms apologetics paper. The 1911 is low capacity, heavy, more difficult to conceal, and less accurate than a 9mm, generally speaking. I fall somewhere in the middle with my Prodigy (a later and greatly improved production run), Staccato, or KDS9C. The feel and grip angle of a 1911, with higher capacity, improved accuracy (particularly at range) and simpler operation.
The point of the article wasn't to make "a case for why the 1911 is a comparable or superior EDC".
The author even states that the article's purpose was "to understand what the platform truly demands of its user and what it offers in return."
