I’ve Done it Again.

Headed to the range today with my CZ P07 and my Fusion XP Comp. I’ll be running them in a holster class this week and wanted to get some time getting used to the DA pull on my Cajunized P07 and the 2011 I haven’t run from a holster yet. As I walked in I made the mistake of looking in the cabinets where I spied a S&W Performance Center Shield Plus. I put a couple of mags through a friend’s PC Shield Plus and was surprised at how nicely it shot for a micro 9. Well, needless to say, after about a 30 second look and the quick math of what it would cost with my members discount I pounced. I made my way into the range, gave it some oil, ran the target out to 10yds and bang, on the first shot the front sight fiber optic rod fell out! Fortunately, the hole left in the front sight was big enough to see through and I got back to work running 50 rounds through it. Targets are in the same order as the guns. 50 rds, no front sight and pretty much everything on target. Not bad for straight out of the box.

That Fusion Xp is a sweet shootin handgun
It really is and I think this is the direction the 2011 market is going to go. Very good. Well made gun for less than a Prodigy. I wasn’t a big fan of the trigger - too skinny, too long and it had those bezels edges that made me feel like I was pushing the trigger. I replaced it with a Red Dirt trigger for the XP and it is bang on now.

I know you put those hits outside the reactive circles just so I don't feel so bad about my targets. You're a nice man. Thank you. ;)

Wow, new gun day and a nice practice. Your holster class should be a lot of fun. Enjoy!

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
