On January 14, 1784, the Continental Congress ratifies the Treaty of Paris, ending the War for Independence.

In the document, which was known as the Second Treaty of Paris because the Treaty of Paris was also the name of the agreement that had ended the Seven Years’ War in 1763, Britain officially agreed to recognize the independence of its 13 former colonies as the new United States of America.

In addition, the treaty settled the boundaries between the United States and what remained of British North America. U.S. fishermen won the right to fish in the Grand Banks, off the Newfoundland coast, and in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Both sides agreed to ensure payment to creditors in the other nation of debts incurred during the war and to release all prisoners of war.

Very good read! Thanks!

Notice the Senate did not ratify the treaty, the congress did,

The Articles of Confederation took effect on March 1, 1781.

This occurred when Maryland, the last of the 13 states, ratified the document (adopted by the Continental Congress on November 15, 1777). The Articles served as the first governing framework for the United States until they were superseded.

The U.S. Constitution was ratified on June 21, 1788.

This date marks when New Hampshire became the ninth state to ratify it (as required by Article VII for the document to take effect among the ratifying states). The Constitution was signed at the Constitutional Convention on September 17, 1787, and went into operation as the new government framework on March 4, 1789. All 13 states eventually ratified it, with Rhode Island as the last on May 29, 1790.
