Why There’s a 1957 Cadillac Encased in Concrete In a Chicago Parking Garage

This massive Cadillac has been set in stone for 55 years, and can be seen by anyone who walks past this Chicago parking garage.

When I was a kid living so near Detroit his disappearance was a huge thing, constantly on the news for months.

One day as we were "adventurin" in the woods and fiends my best friend came upon a large fairly fresh "grave" in the middke of a DNR corn plot. we just knew it had to be Hoffa.

So with thoughts of a massive reward and TV fame in our heads we ran to tell my dad, arguing all the way as to who found it first.

So we took dad there and he looked it over. It was just odd enough that dad called the Sherrif and they came out and dug it out. Turned out to be a large great Dane someone had buried.

So went our fame...

i am fascinated that the tires appear to be inflated. why are they not flat as a pancake.

ps- everyone knows hoffa is under giants stadium in the meadolands. i am from nj after all.
That's one i could never buy into. Take him all the way to jersey to either kill and or dispose of the corpse. Stupid way to risk getting seen, they popped him within an hour and just tossed his body in the concrete they were pouring night and day in the RenCen when he disappeared or just did it alive to try and watch him try to swim out of the concrete they were pouring over him.

There was the industrial meat grinder at the big sausage plant rumor but I never wanted to think about that one as a kid lol.

There was also the story that Tony Ghiacaloni (sp) in Detroit a few years later used to always say as they drove by the Ren Cen to wave at Jimmy.
I call BS, I had some high level Mon guys at the US Penitentiary and they keep their mouth shut on such matters. Not only on themselves and their inner circle but their enemies too.

Had Peter shot to Don Gotti’s Brother and he was no joke as well as severs others.

They weren’t there for telling!

Hard to say , it sounds like the kind of thing they would do at that time in the 70s, in Detroit with the teamsters the city was basically owned by the crooks back then from the mayor on down. Reputation was everything back then and he wasn't saying it to regular John does as the story went.

Hard to say, i could see it as truth or just a reputation story either way.

No matter what though they were never going to tear down the Ren Cen to find out...

there are some "haunted farms" that pop up around halloween in the pine barrens (home of the jersey devil) for hay rides and fright night stuff. the pine barrens are spooky in the daylight let alone at night.

I had a guy at work who came from by the pine barrens and he always talked about them. Always said they were the spookiest place he ever went in, especially at night.

The scariest place I’ve ever been was the Iraqi Army’s Republican Guard headquarters in Baghdad. The basement area had Interrogation Rooms that were down right medieval. I swear I heard moaning but when we cleared them they were empty 😳
