Lies, damned lies.....

The data is probably real but as with anything it is the way it is presented that drives home a point (good or bad… or whatever you want).
I see this in my line of work all the time (research scientist). Data presentation can sell a story without changing the the raw data. It becomes shady when data is omitted from analysis/presentation. I take charts and graphs published in newspapers/magazines etc with a grain of salt.
 
Hate to tell them but a woman is having an affair with her boss and husband shows up kills both them himself that isn’t a mass shooting. That’s a double homicide suicide.

Two workplace asshats get into it and one shoots the other and an errant round injured a non participant that’s not a mass shooting.

We could go in and most here get it if only these statisticians would that would be great!
