Logo on Lower Receiver of Saint Victor

Pat-R

Alpha
I recently purchased a new Saint Victor 5.56 in Tungsten Grey. I noticed that the Springfield Armory script that is embosed over the Saint script on every other rifle lower receiver I have seen is absent on this rifle. One co-worker advised that they do this on the most recent models because people are asking for space to laser engrave a military or agency logo. Another co-worker was told that they are using the basic Saint lowers on some rifles distributed to specific chain retail outlets. Does anyone know the reason for the difference?

Thanks

Sorry, I should have clarified a bit more. On the other Saint Victor rifles I have observed, the right side of the lower receiver (where the magazine inserts) have the words "Springfield Armory" engraved, and below this engraving in large letters is the name "Saint". On my rifle the "Springfield Armory" engraving in absent, and the name "Saint" is in smaller lettering and off-set to the rear somewhat.

As the saying goes:

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Did you ever find anything out? I just got one and noticed the difference afterwards

I contacted Lexi (the LE Rep. at Springfield Armory) about the difference. She advised that some of the new Saint Victor lowers were requested with the new logo pattern so that agencies/individuals had room to add an emblem. She also said that if you look at some of their newer 1911 pistols they have smaller engraving also for same reason.

I've noticed this also.
