Lost Secret of Pistol Shooting: The Crush Grip

Had to read this article 3 times & let it soak in before I decided to chip in my $.02 worth. The article caught my eye because that's how I've been shooting my whole life, thanks to my dad's instruction when I was a kid. GOOD instruction too, because he was a Vietnam-era Army SF. This was reinforced as I got older, my first rifle shooting lessons from my dad's CO, Col. B. Kaminski, at scout camp... then another Vietnam SF who coached my HS ROTC rifle team.

That being said, my support thumb would rest on my shooting thumb & lock it down tight, maximizing the crush. In between shots, I'd relax my grip without shifting any of my digits, to let the blood flow through the capillaries in my hands.
