M1 Carbine: Unlocking The Legacy Of The War Baby

USAF Security Police still had M2's in the late 60's before jumping fully to the M16. I saw a lot of them in the hands of RVN and Thai police back in the 70's.

I remember LGS getting carbines in by the crate when I was in my late teens and they were cheap. Missed opportunities. Had we only known
 
I love the M1 Carbine. I really think it makes a better home defense rifle than an AR. :love:
I have two of them. One is a May 1943 Inland just like Uncle Sam issued. The other is a March 1943 Standard Products that I had to replace the barrel with a 1970s G.I. part. Since it was no longer original, I decided to bring it on into the 21st Century. :rolleyes:
