Has anyone tried this bullet in the M1A 308
If so can you provide OAL used and powder type?

Just because a manufacturer puts the word match on their product doesn't mean it's match in the US military sense. In the official Camp Perry match competitions the M118 Long Range Match round is what is used.

Well not for m1a, but I've used them in shorter barred 308win for higher velocity rounds as well as 110gr.

165-168 is more ideal bang for your buck

Unless it has the m118 chamber (about .030 longer throat), then 175 is the way to go. @KillerFord1977 uses m118 (175gr) in m1a.

I'm using 748 in 308win in 16" and shorter barrels with a muzzle velocity of/near 2,500fps. CQB weapon for less recoil with 1,500-1,750# of muzzle energy depending on barrel length. Also designed for up to 500 yards if needed.

No, it's not and it shouldn't as they're 2 different bullets.

They could've dropped the match and went with the flat base hp. I bought those recently (2-3 months ago).
