My šŸ‚ šŸ’© senses seem to be tingling at the moment. I’m trying to internalize ANY reason someone would be cleaning a gun in their car at a gas station, while loaded nonetheless, and just ā€œhappenā€ to hit an innocent.

My perspective is that someone who carries gun cleaning supplies in their car (again, šŸ‚ šŸ’© senses tingling) might know enough about unloading and clearing said gun before cleaning it.

I suspect this is just another liberal attempt to disparage honest firearms owners. In fact, this line from the article - ā€œIn 2022, there were more than 48,000 firearm-related deaths in the United States according to mortality data. That’s about 132 people dying from a firearm-related injury each day.ā€ - seems to leave out the important questions - how many were self-inflicted and how many were attributed to minors (who are illegally possessing said firearms) living the gangster lifestyle.

I totally buy this. I see images on various forums, and particularly on Reddit, of dudes taking pictures of their new gun in their lap in the car because they don’t want their mom or girlfriend to see the gun before they sneak into the house with it. It’s not a stretch to picture some dumbass putting a couple of rounds in his brand new/first gun jacking around with it and sending one through the window. Like it or not, we know these people are out there.

Hell, I recently had two morons in the shop of a range I was visiting whip their guns out of their bags to compare with one that was on the rack. I mentioned it to the manager and she said she would talk to them. They then proceeded to sweep me and the girl at the counter several times before I told them that if they showed me their guns one more time I was going to show them mine. They looked at me like I was the a-hole and walked out
