My Weekend Project

A few weeks back someone posted asking what people are doing on the weekend instead of going to the range during this ammunition crunch.
Many on the forum know I enjoy camping since buying my Keystone tow behind back in February 2019
The camper is designated as a twin bunk model, two full bunks in the rear of the camper, great for those with young children but those days are over for me.
I used the bunk areas for storage but it was a pain having to dig things out from the back especially climbing up onto the top bunk. I kept thinking,
“walk in closet”
It’s been 3 weekends and although I’m not done yet I’ve come along way.

The window was a pain to open. What you don’t see is below the lower bunk is the storage area that is accessible from the outside

The bunks are gone and I can now open the window without climbing. You can now see the door to what was the storage area. Now comes building a new smaller storage area.

The best part was the wood came from taking apart the bunks, so far no money spent. I was also surprised that all the panels that made up the bunk decking was laminate with a dark wood grain finish.

No money spent. Next will be adding white wire shelving. More to come.

Looks good. Cubbies come it handy. But, many are too big. Then, things get lost in them.
Now, a whole lot more usable space for other things!
Am sure you'll kinda sorta figure out a way to fill it back up again with something though? :)

On the Closet Made wire shelving? If can, find the 2 hole metal wall clips. Lot stronger than the plastic wall clips. Use bolt cutters (Work best) or hack saw to cut or trim shelving. Stuff is nice to work with once figured out!

Hmmm🤔 didn’t think of that. View attachment 17496
Added shelves today.
Like the zip ties for bumpy roads and inverted shelving to keep things in place on shelving ideas! Ran out of white zip ties? :)

Another helpful tip with that type shelving found out? Laying cardboard or plastic craft sheets across wire shelving can help hold small things from going through wire too.
