National Rifle Association has teamed up with local allies

How many who want the NRA to "Pound sand" are still contributing to the RNC ? How many actually believe Trump is pro-gun?

If you voted for Trump you accepted a lot of shady shite as a compromise to keep Kamala and the dems from winning. Yet when the NRA does exactly what you have been saying they needed to do for 3 years now you figure it's time to back the bus up and run over them again.

Assuming I am not banned by then, in 4 years or so when once again the republicans screw it up and we have a leftist president and congress and all the gains you think we have made since Trump took office again are gone, when you start complaining about losing gun rights I'm going to point you back to this moment in time.

I have nothing else to say here.

I agree. Hamlin and the new team are doing exactly what the members have been wanting them to do. It's time to get on board and be part of the solution to get 'er back on track. The folks who are still whining just aren't paying attention.

The GOA was formed in 1976 specifically to counter the NRA since Richardson obviously had a problem with them. The GOA claims 2 million members. GOA members have no vote or voice about their leadership. GOA members receive a hat or something. That's about it.

The NRA was formed in 1871 for the purpose of increasing marksmanship and competency. In the wake of Wayne LaPierre membership declined from 5.5 million to it's current 4.3 million. NRA leaders are directly elected by NRA life members. NRA members receive discounted prices on a lot of different services including hotels, insurance, identity theft, loans, vacations and discounts on vehicle purchases.

The NRA political lobby is a behemoth. And regardless of what Grayfox and other like minded individuals tell you, there is no one more active legislatively and no one with the lobbying power to influence legislation more effectively. And frankly my biggest issue with the GOA is the fact that they spend most of their time, past and present, in an effort to cripple the NRA. Instead of partnering with them to advance their stated mission, they spend your money on marketing ads and propaganda designed to advance their market share.

These are things I believe. I really don't care what anyone else believes. I will say this. You don't hear NRA members going around talking shite about other gun rights organizations. Most of us, myself included, encourage support for ALL groups actively defending our 2A rights. Particularly at the state level. During the time immediately following WLP being exposed publicly, I, along with a great many other NRA members withheld money and support for the NRA in it's then current form. Many other people, spurred on by some of these alternative gun rights groups, busied themselves trying to hammer death nails into the NRA. And now that the NRA is reformed and continuing it's goal of returning to the stalwart organization it was, rather than supporting the world's largest civil rights organization in it's plight, here we have GOA advocates making claims about the NRA that they are seemingly pulling out of their asses in a continuing effort to dismantle it. Y'all can do whatever you want, but personally I'm going to continue to support the NRA and support other groups who's mission is to protect our 2A rights as opposed to spending my membership dues on trying to take out other gun rights organizations.
I’m an NRA Patron member-have been for years. Wayne & Co. should be in jail for the way they screwed up the organization and for the $$ the effectively “stole”. I’m glad to see them gone and hope we get the “old NRA” back. Like it or not, they are the big dog in town and they are our best hope for keeping the right we were born with as Americans.

I also am a Patron Life member. I will not abandon the NRA . I am very glad WLP is out along with his cohorts.
