That has been my concern with the Iranians. Trump demolished their nuclear program, but it's possible they still have some of their highly radioactive material.
A 'ship bomb' in NY harbor could do a bunch of harm, and one that spread radioactivity would be worse.

Nice upon a time…about 50 years ago, I was the Base NBC Officer for USMCAS Yuma, and went to school at El Toro. That, the steering a ship into U.S. harbors, was one thing we discussed. Most f the time was concerned with chem and bio agents with radioactive fallout included. As an aside, back at Yuma, I found crates of WW1 and postwar chemical capes. Neat stuff, but they were dried out. All three types of mass casualty stuff is scary.
