Nearly Perfect Safari Rifle

Larry Potterfield did a series of videos on building the Nearly Perfect Safari Rifle, available free on the MidwayUSA website. Well, the prototype of that rifle will be on the live auction at the Columbia Missouri Friends of the NRA fundraising dinner. Here is your chance to bid on a lively handling .375 H&H Remington 700. I love the woodwork on this rifle, and am only announcing the auction so I won't blow all my gun money trying to get this at auction. I figure one of you deep pocket guys will quickly outbid me!

Sweet but I always wanted a 416 Rigby.
Years ago stop at a country store for gas and they had a Ruger #1 in 375 H&H. The Mrs. said buy it, I said let me think on it if I want it, I'll get it next week when we come to the city. She said it may not be here to which I replied how many people out here in the willy wags want a single shot 375? The answer, TWO. Me and the fellow that bought it. Couple of years later came home from work and the Mrs. handed me a 458 win mag built with an 03 action. "I went to the city to get some more cloth, thread and needles and found this." Who knew they sold guns a Jo Anns.

I had a 458 Winchester magnum years ago, don't ask me why. lol but after i literally slaughtered all the Elephants, Rhino's and Hippos at the zoo i sold it to a guy from South Africa i knew.

I am somewhat less enamored with recoil now than I was as a young man, and .375 H&H is about my limit. You all can keep those .458 bruisers! But I would like to own this just to look at...and to save the day if any elephants escape the Circus. (clearly, my ability to justify the purchase of a new firearm is boundless)
