When I first started carrying a .380 acp backup gun, I became curious about the Hi-Point 3895 .380 acp carbine. I figured that it might be fun to have on hand since I would have a .380 acp ammo stash. I never acted on the impulse and completely forgot about the gun during the 2020 guns & ammo shortage.
In-stock alerts for the 3895 started hitting my inbox on Tuesday, and one had the carbine priced below $250. I’ve still got my stash of .380 acp ammo and am starting to see it on store shelves from time to time. I haven’t bought a new gun in awhile, and the price fit into my budget. When it arrives, the 3895 will be my official “oddball gun” that doesn’t fill any immediate roll in my collection but looked like fun anyway.
How many of you guys have something either chambered in an unusual caliber or non-traditional configuration? What is your oddball gun?
