New Remington 870s Shipping To Dealers

I really would like another one - I typically keep one copy for defensive use, and another to train with.

I've got a rather decently reliable one that I've taken to a couple of classes whose only true deficiency is that it rusts if I look at it cross-eyed (Bullfrog's Rust-Hunter has done a really good job with it, though), but I'd like one that I can trust a bit more, I suppose......

Agreed @TSiWRX. I've got two of their 870's. An 870 Tactical that I modified quite a bit, and the 870 Tac14 DM. I've always been interested in their Versa Max Shotguns as well.
If their quality does indeed improved, I'd eventually like to get one of their 1911s. As they mentioned in the article that they eventually are planning to reintroduce.

I'd love to see the Remington 870 return to its former glory. When I was a young patrol officer, the 870 was the shotgun issued by most departments. They lasted forever, so it was pretty common for rookies to be issued 870's that had been in-service for decades. Officers were given their handguns when they retired, but the shotgun barrels were all cut down to 16 inches (so they would fit in squad cars), so the department was unable to give them to individual officers after the Gun Control Act of 1968. I'm really hoping that the new owners can bring back the level of quality that made Remington famous.

I saw a video recently where a reviewer commented on the poor quality offerings under the former ownership. However, he followed up with a video showing the vastly improved machining and craftsmanship in the new Remington Model 870 Fieldmaster. This new model is most likely replacing the Model 870 Express, and it has checkering resembling the Model 870 Wingmaster though in a matte finish.

I'm thinking about modifying my old 870 Express by installing new hardware, tactical barrel, and magazine tube extension. Where can I find 870 barrels?
