With a COAL of 2.5" it will require a larger mag well than the AR-15 (2.26") but not as large as the AR-10 (2.8").
i doubt they'll make an in between ar size. they'll just make mage specifically for that cartridge to function in an ar10. 300savage, 308marlin and 307winchester nearly has the same coal (2.600") as the 6.5x43. either a spacer type that is used in the back to keep it from sitting way back in the mag similar to what begara or sako (don't remember which) along with an american mfgr offers this type on their mags. as far as i can remember the feedlips stay where they are and the spacer fits towards the rear/back (then again it could be placed in the front). i was trying to find out where it's placed, but can't find the info at this time.
