pic your steel

i feel that this is the correct place for this thread as it pertains to gun parts unlike triggers and optics.

i was doing a search for different types of steels used for firearms to see what could handle higher pressures and not necessarily last the longest. this is 1 article i found and might make choosing a barrel you want or barrel on a firearm already to be what you would or wouldn't buy? when buying custom barrels the choices are more limited than buying factory firearms. although this states "ar" it still not any different than ba and pistol barrels.

I always wondered if this treatment might be a good option for barrels.
(I know many racing teams that use this for various parts)

I order barrels from them and I've thought about getting at least 1 done in cryo. Haven't figured out if 1 want to try it for an AR or BA?
