Picked up my S&W 4516-1 today!

I'm glad the 4506 I was looking at locally didn't pan out because I really like this shorter model better. I just finished practicing field stripping it and gave it a cleaning which it really didn't require.
Very happy with the condition. I doubt I'd find one used any more pristine. I've read about people complaining about the difficulty in take-down and re-assembly, but it's not difficult at all. Not as simple as a 1911, but so freaking what?
Next will be the range report. Pretty jazzed about testing it out!

Nice purchase. I love that frame style. I've been carrying my 457 for decades and it is a work horse.

I really wish S&W would reintroduce the 4516 and the 4566. Would love to buy a new one that I could use as a shooter without worrying about parts
