Pleasant day with my SS 92FS, and other stuff.

SAINT
took my Beretta SS 92 FS to the club. lo and behold, i hadn't been there to shoot, since Dec 13th..???

i been there to check things out, like the paper towel and toilet paper, and Kleenex inventory, and to make sure the water pipes had not burst, thanks to the sub-zero temps, but not to shoot...i was surprised i hadn't shot there for "so long"...

any way, had a great time, 50 rounds of my reloads, shot great, 50 rounds of Blazer was great as well.

then when i left there, i went to O'Reilly's Auto Parts store.

you guys that shop around already know this, but auto parts stores also sell Lucas products......however...what about gun oil..??

YES THEY DO..!!!!

i told her that O'Reilly's is "listed" as a place to get gun oil

the sales person (she might be the manager) looked up the 8 oz bottle of Lucas Extreme Duty gun oil...they do not have that.

however, on a shelf, they did have the 1 ounce bottles, and they were $2.00 cheaper than at the range..!!!

so, i got 2 bottles. ($9.00 at the range,..... $7.00 at O'Reilly's)

another thing too......She's a shooter....!!!!!!

she goes with one of her sons to MA to shoot, and she told me another son lives in TX, where he has "a few" guns...i said, "well yeah, if you live in TX and DON'T have a gun, you're the weirdo"....she agreed.

i told here that here in New England, it's tough to talk about guns, and supplies due to the anti 2-A crap.......

she knows.

sorry this was long, but it was to me a very pleasant day, even though, it is a miserable freezing cold day.

Like you I get up at 4:30. Work was cancelled due to the overnight and continuing freezing rain and the massive traffic shite show. Clearly not the kind of day I could get to the range. So I double checked the torque on all my optics and put witness marks on the ones I had never gotten around too.

Also watched Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii.

I use most of Lucas oil products, I usually clean and lightly lube with there Extreme Duty CLP, but when I go to the range I will disassemble the gun and then lube it with the Extreme Duty Gun Oil

yeah as a matter of fact, O'Reilly's had the large can of CLP

i actually bought a small can of Safari Land? CLP at wally's world, in the very beginning of this sport/hobby. i use it around the house for door locks and hinge lube.

doesn't "hurt" to have a can of CLP on hand

we cannot disassemble guns at the range, but the club does have a gun cleaning room, which i stocked with Hoppes, cleaner and lube.
