PTR91 Range Report

Took the recently acquired 91 to my side job for the first time today, just to function check it.

Had a few issues, feeding, and ejecting, but since I only brought a worn 5 round magazine (and it appears to be a CETME mag), I think that it had a good bit to do with it. And I think the fact that I was using range pick up ammo was also a factor.

Next trip I'll use the new HK five round magazine I didn't bring with me on today's short trip.

are you using mil-spec ammo as in the fmj type................i've heard that some firearms won't function without them and doesn't like reloads for some reason.................just chatter from other forums.

It was pick up ammo, as in live rounds we found mixed in with spent casings.

Why FIVE round mags?

Do they use H&K mags, if so you can get the 20 round waffle mags pretty cheap now.
