I have a ranger .410 side by side with 5 digit serial number starting with X-94…Patent stamp means it’s a Stevens. .410 production started in 1925 and by 1929 they stopped using the name Stevens and started using Springfield. Stevens records were destroyed in a fire so no serial number data base. So it’s a Stevens 311 made between 1925 and 1929.

I can only find the name ranger on the side of the ‘lower ‘ and the words “Proof tested 410 gauge” on top of each barrel. On one of the serial numbers there is a much smaller E . This gun is complete except for a forend . I’ve been trying to find one but have to try to get a model # first before I can find a part #

Just a little digging around in a thick book. Might be close to what you have. Really cool gun! It's in real good shape, not all dinged up or rusty. Need triggers and springs and other parts. Anyone know anything about these shot guns, who made them or who sold them? It's a cute lil thing.
