Rate this gun. Police Surplus Beretta ~ Model 85 BB Cheetah ~ .380 ACP

Dobbinsky

Master Class
There are a grunch of these available right now, most go for about $360.00. Various Cabela outlets are selling them on GI right now. I might NEED one of these, but I know little about them. I do know about .380 ballistics, but not about the reliability and function of this pistol.
I'd appreciate sharing your knowledge or first hand experience with them.

My wife used to have a Beretta Cheetah tip up barrel pistol also in .380, very reliable gun, basically the same as the one your showing

I have delt with Cabela's for a long time and got some terrific deals but when Bass pro took them over in 2017 they jumped prices on a lot of things by more than 25 percent. I don't buy from them anymore because like many acquisitions good thing take a downward turn. My friend down in AZ had one of those models that he bought for his wife and he said it was nothing but trouble. That's the only input I can give but I would look around as the price seems to be high. I had a Bersa that was the older one that held 11 rounds and was a great little 380. I gifted it to one of my close friends for his wife as she was being stalked by a X boyfriend. She took some classes and gave her husband a run for his money as she she became very proficient with it. I would not mind having another one for placement in the house.
