i have a 4.5 xdm elite that i purchased that is not osp, i was guessing all i had to do is buy a osp slide for mine and easily install a red dot i was wondering where i could purchase such a slide. or what would be the best way to go about attaching a red dot

You won’t be able to buy just a slide, Springfield doesn’t sell gun parts like that, you will most likely have to get a whole other gun.
