Remington Zig-Zag Derringer

shanneba

Custom
Less than 1,000 of these small pocket pistols were manufactured in 1861 and 1862. Remington originally called them "Elliott's Pocket Revolvers." The zig-zag nickname comes from the odd guide grooves on the rear of the cylinder/barrel group. Similar guides were used on Mauser's Zig-Zag revolvers in the 1870s and the Webley-Fosbery revolvers in the early 20th century.

This one sold for $6900.00 back in 2016.

The front sights (yes, plural) look like grease zerts.
