Hmm, I have the Meprolight 21 mounted on an IWI Tavor, cause that what was supposed to be on the Tavor, even though it is 300 BLK. That said, there is no batteries, it uses tritium for night ops. It appears that this one will address the issue of shade to bright that requires a polarized filter or supplemental light source, so you do end up with a battery for that issue. With this one that concern is gone as they do build the 21 like a tank with huge lens and yes the quality seems well done. Look forward to seeing one in the wild...
