This, oddly is the second time I’ve had to post about complaints with my Ronin Operator. The first one has dissappeared. I bought a new Ronin Operator, 9mm, with a 4.25” barrel. Beautiful firearm, shot well and accurate. After about 100 rounds, I noticed the Cerakote was wearing off around the corners of the grip and around the magwell and an inch or so up from there. I sent photos to SA with an explanation. I was told to send it in, which I did. Over four weeks later, I got it back. It looked good with the exception of the magwell that didn’t look much better.
I ignored this since it doesn’t show.
I didn’t shoot it after that, but just by handling, the corners started wearing through again, leaving the black undercoat exposed. I contacted SA again and sent it back a second time. I asked for, maybe, a new magazine for my troubles. No response.
When it came back, over six weeks later, there is a dot on the front of the grip that looks like a drop of solvent got on it. It’s about 3/32” in diameter. The trigger guard is rough to the touch, like it wasn’t rubbed out like the rest of the frame. I’m really disappointed with this. None of my Colt’s, S-W’s or Baretta have issues like this. I keep all my firearms looking good. This is unacceptable.
