Got to check one of these out today at a LGS. I was impressed. Very smooth action compared to the Marlin 336 and has an AR-type ejector vs. the Marlin type. IMO, a good option for those behind the anti-2A Iron Curtains. My .02

That would be a hard no. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to cowboy (or cowboy inspired) guns. If you want a rail or optic, look elsewhere. What would John Wayne say? Can you imagine Chuck Conners twirling this one? It's blasphemy I tell ya.

While I would like to own a lever action in .44 or .357, what has kept it low on my bucket list is that I have several in 30-30, which is a superior cartridge IMO.
My county is in Michigan's shotgun hunting zone. They do however allow hunting with handguns and straight walled handgun cartridges. I find the .357 and .44 magnum carbines, snd revolvers, to be superb little swamp and thicket hunters which is where I hunt most.

For sure. I don't understand the dumb rules against necked down rifle cartridges. A clear example of those making the rules not knowing anything about the objects they are regulating.
