@SimonRL and I did our monthly shoot n move class last night with our instructor. 125 rounds.
Goal was accuracy , speed, push the edge, know where your own limits reside to have proper speed and accuracy mesh.
Shooting while moving, speed, accuracy and identifying random targets called out was the drill session.
I run a 1 second draw/shoot and 3 second total reload from slide stop to round fired, so I’m happy and working to shave off just a smidge.

“Baer” drill up first for “warm up” 😁
Speed drill w mandatory reload
8.5"x 11" paper
5" gray targets
3" "Baer" oval
10 rd mag and 3 rd mag
5 rounds each side of gray as fast as you can. Mag dry/slide stop.
Fast Reload
3 rds center
5 yards

I edged out @simon a tad on speed and hits 😱😎🕺😝😝

Next up: same drill but shooting while walking at target from 15 yards. Shoot when random buzzer goes off…
We both did well. Hits inside paper or head shots when called

Next up was 25 yard fast walk shooting random targets he called out. mandatory reloads. Could not stop to reload or shoot. Continuous walk. Center mass only counted.

Final was all 3 drills in one with random enemies(targets) coming at you down the wire. Certain targets called as civilians(no shoot) and random enemies. Reload required. Movement required. Random buzzer to start engagement.

We kept it all center mass

Hi!

I also enjoy the scoot-n-shoot drills, the more realistic the better. Add the cognitive dissonance and it makes you think before shooting. Nice work, you two.

I've got one of these type of clinics coming up a week from Sunday and then another one about two weeks from that. This is a perishable skill that must be practiced. Maybe I'll have something new to work out with soon. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
