We so underestimate the intelligence of our dogs.

We are blessed to have them in our lives.

Killing’s poem reminds me that there is never enough time to spend with your buddy that loves you unconditionally. There are no happy endings when you give your heart to a dog; only a sad one.

Opie, my white German Shepard, will howl at the whistling of the Andy Griffith Show theme song. And he will also howl at a certain local Toyota car dealership commercial that features the owner of the dealership. I guess he hates car salesmen! lol I really need to video it, as he does this every time those things come on tv. It's hilarious!

We hear fire and rescue sirens going by at least twice a week. If we are in the yard Blue will stop whatever she is doing and start howling till the ambulance or fire truck can no longer be heard. This happened last week. First time she tucked her tail, usually it’s wagging as she howls.

Miss Roxy the Goldendoodle. She loves bringing special treats out of the woods to gnaw on. The Blue Heron head and neck incident was pretty disgusting though. Just turned one year old, and THE BEST dog I've ever owned.
