SilencerCentral.com ripoff

I just conducted range tests with the Banish 9k suppressor from Silencercentral.com mounted on my Springfield Kuna. I've never been more disappointed in a product. The difference in volume is barely noticeable. I made the mistake of firing the first round through the "suppressor" without ear protection and my ears are still ringing. I fired a number of times, with and without the product mounted, and realized I wasted my money.

I notified the company. They responded that the 9k is "really only meant to take the edge off" and if I wanted a more effective "silencer" I should've bought the full-size Banish 9.

I responded that there is nothing on the company website that says the Banish 9k is only meant to "take the edge off." Had I known that, I've would've bought a different model or spent my money with a different company.

Of course you can't return suppressors. So I'm SOL.

Dang.
Never heard that before. “Made to take the edge off”.
What is the decibel diff rating between the 2 models ?

Were you using supersonic ammo? If so it will still hurt your ears from the sound barrier cracking especially if you are indoors or undercover. Not blaming you btw but this is something some people do not account for. Have you tried some 147gr subsonic or 150gr federal syntech ammo? K configuration suppressors definitely have a decible increase over a full length suppressor.

Hi,

I'm sorry for your disappointment. It's good that you shared it with us. I appreciate that. Now I know to stay away from the 9k.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
