@SimonRL i figured will be all over this 1 as it's offered in 357mag. sure there's cool features about this gun, but it doesn't offer any weight savings w/ cf barrel and other lightweight parts. i checked their weight against other makers in the same cartridges and there's about 1/2-1# difference in savings. i'd say you could make the forend, buttstock and lever out of cf and get a 2-2.5# savings. sure they're under 7# empty, but just have a 20" + barrel length and the savings continue. per their website it's just under $2k.

I think it’s great that companies are embracing this kind of thinking and honestly $2k is quite a bit lower than I laid out for my gonzo build, but I also think that part of the attraction of a tactical lever gun is taking it completely over the top. I’m not quite sure who the market would be for this. I think if Henry could just add more threaded barrel options to their lineup that would be a great compromise. The purists would be happy and the people who want to mod their guns would still have the option to do so.
