Something happened...

We were going through the handgun safe yesterday, as the husband needed his favorite Kimber for his CCW renewal course. I started handling guns I haven’t touched for a while. As always when I’m doing this, I was drawn back to the Walther. This was my very first handgun, bought for me by the husband. Of all the handguns I own, this one feel the most amazing in my hand. I rarely fire it because I always had trouble racking it, and that makes me sad.

Well, we were talking as we were sorting out what goes where in the safe, and I just picked up that little gun and racked it like it was nothing. I know this is no big deal at all to you guys, but I HAD to share it because I have mentioned here on the forum a few times how hard it was for me to rack my PPK. Once I realized what I had done, I looked up at him and he said, “You know what you just did?” I whispered, “I racked my Walther!” Then I did it over and over again, just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. Seems all the dry fire training and my range training has made my hands and arms stronger than they were.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. It’s not a big deal, but it made my night. :)

It is a big deal. Have a 1911 with a 20# recoil spring & it's hard to rack the slide. I had a Mauser hsc(not sure) that was tough to rack.

I’ll swap you a VP9 Match and 6 boxes of Blazer 124 for it, no questions asked. 😎🤔😇
