I just took possession of mine and broke it down for a complete cleaning/review. It seems pretty solid visually, but haven't shot it yet. The only thing I didn't like is the firing pin retainer in the BCG that is so lose that while reassembling the rifle, it continuously fell out unless I actively held it in place while inserting the BCG or holding it at a level angle. This is VERY different to the
actual cotter pin on my Colt CCU AR-15 BCG, which requires some effort to remove and stays securely in place once inserted. I may have to order about 20 extra of these since I figure that'll be the first thing lost if I ever have to remove the BCG in the field.
Am I the only one experiencing this, or is this by design? Also, mine appeared slightly bent upon first inspection. Maybe it's just not bent
enough. I would love to hear from other owners about their experience.
I also requested some info from SA support on how reliable this rifle is suppressed and if there were any suppressors they would or would not recommend, based upon their own test. Haven't heard back, but that is another question I have, given that this new V2 version comes without the adjustable gas block.
Any advice/experience would be appreciated.
